Jai Bhim, Namo Buddhai, Jai Kabir, Jai Ravidas, Johar, Jai Guru Nanak Dev
Jalandhar (Samaj Weekly)- A function of “Career counselling and book distribution” was organised on 1st Oct, 2023 in Desh Bhagat Yadgar Bhawan, Jalandhar by Bodhisatav Ambedkar Public Sr Sec School Phulpur Dhanal, Bodhisatav Education Society Phulpur Dhanal Jal and Pragyasheel Education Society Jalandhar for the purpose to guide the students onward 10th class to come forward for various enterance and competitive exams. The function continued from 10.00 AM to 07.00 PM.
About 1100 students belonging to SC/ST, OBC and religious minority communities from all over Punjab, participated in the event. Books were also made available for them as per their choice on 50% to 70% discounted rate.
The eminent personalities from different fields/ institutions from all over India were invited. They include Prof. Dr. Satvir Singh, Prof. Dr. Shiva A Raja, Prof. Dheeraj Kumar, Sh. Satender Kumar, IFS, (Rtd.), Sh. Deepak Kadam, Ambedkar Mission, Nanded, Prof. Dr. Raj Kumar, Delhi University, Associate Prof. Inderjit Singh, Kamla Nehru College, DU, Associate Prof. Nandita Kohli, Kangra, Sh. Jagyadeep, Sr. Adv. Punjab & Haryana High Court, Sh. Rajjak Ahmed Mansuri and team from Kota Rajsthan, IG/ITBP S Jaspal Singh, IPS and DIG/ITBP Sh Narendra Singh, IPS who guided the participants about enterance/ competitive exams for UPSC, PCS, CLAT, Law and Judiciary, SSC, NEET, JEE, Central and State Police Services, Banking, Insurance, Fashion Technology, Journalism, Artificial intelligence etc.
Sh. S.L. Gindha from Scotland, Dr. Sandeep Mehmi, Deputy Registar PTU, Principal Smt. Chanchal Boudh, Er. Jaswant Rai, Sr. Missionary, Sh. Hussan Lal, IDAS, Sh. Charanjeet Singh, IRS, (retd.), Sh. M.R. Salhan, Deputy Director, Ministry of Industries, Sh Parminder Singh from NGO “For The People” and many more who played key role in making the event successful, were present.
The worthy Deputy commissioner Jalandhar Sh. Vishesh Sarangal, IAS specially graced the occasion and also interacted with the students and gave them valuable guidance.
