Announcement Made to Give 11,000 Rupees Shagun on the Wedding of Every Girl
Balachaur (Samajweekly) (Jatinder Pal Singh Kaler): On the occasion of the Baba Bute Shah Annual Fair in village Gahun, a blood donation and medical check-up camp was organized by Suri Hospital in memory of its founders, the late Dr. Ujagar Singh Suri and the late Surjit Singh Mehka. The camp was held under the leadership of Dr. Bhupinder Singh Suri, with the cooperation of their sons, Jagdeep Singh Austria and Jaspreet Singh Fauji. On this occasion, the family also announced that they would contribute a Shagun of 11,000 rupees for the wedding of every girl in village Gahun. As in previous years, a large number of devotees attending the fair availed themselves of the medical facilities, took benefit of the free medicine distribution, and donated blood. District Planning Board Member Karanveer Kataria, who arrived as a special guest, praised the medical team and met with the gathering. Prominent personalities present on the occasion included Mela Management Committee President Gurnam Singh Dehal, Hardeep Singh Gahun, Dr. Hari Singh Dialpur, along with a large number of devotees and respected citizens.
