 Two Days International Workshop on Covid-19

New Delhi (Samaj Weekly) The Two Days International Workshop on COVID-19 Mass Disaster & Possible Management: Challenges for Immediate Future, held online from 5-6 May, 2020 from New Delhi, India which was organised by India International Intellectual Society in association with Central Pondicherry University and DCRUST University, Sonepat.

The Special address was given by Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Vice Chancellor of Pondicherry University and he encouraged the participants to understand the importance of social distancing, hygienic approach and other indigenous knowledge to reduce the impacts of COVID-19 disaster.

The keynote address was given by Prof. Rajendera Kumar Anayat, Vice Chancellor, DCRUST University, Sonepat, Haryana. He provided many latest information to reduce COVID-19 Mass Disaster at local, regional, national and international levels.

The Convener, Prof. Jagbir Singh, who is well known International expert in disaster management and his work was recognized by United Nations in Switzerland related to disaster risk reduction in May 2019. He explained that the time has come we all nations must come on one platform for minimize the impacts of Corona Virus for the sake of humanities. Lives are important and business we can expend latter on.

Prof. Jagbir Singh said that the COVID-19 mass disaster has changed the philosophy of the scientists, decision makers and leaders of the world to understand the importance of trust, international cooperation and exchange right information for better world.

Prof. V.S. Negi, member of executive council, University of Delhi welcome all the participants. Dr. B.N. Dehiya observed all the impotent points during two days international event. Around 545 people attended this events including 75 participants from 20 countries.

The speaker were: Prof. Ane Hill, Mexico, Dr. Kamal Tiwari, MD, Chicago, USA, Prof. Kanika, Canada, Ms. Michele, Switzerland, Sh. Vijay Malik, Belgium, Sh. Atul Katiyar, Joint Police Commissioner, Delhi Police, Ms. Charu Darshana, LSR College, DU. Prof. M.A Beg, Principal, in DU College, Prof. Namita, Principal, in DU College. Prof. Mamta Sharma, Principal, in DU College. Dr. Anna from Sweden , Prof. Joan Gilmore from Sydney, Australia and many more experts were attended this informative events.

By both vice chancellors Prof. Gurmeet Singh and Prof. Rajendera Kumar Anayat honoured four personalities who have done days and nights for COVID-19 disaster crisis. They were: Ms. Pragya Anand, Assistant Commissioner in Delhi Police, Dr. Ritu Saxena, CMO, LNJP Hospital, Delhi, Prof. B.W. Pandey, University of Delhi and Ms. Charu Darshana, LSR College, DU. The convener Prof. Jagbir Singh also organised an international debate on Mass Disaster and International Cooperation in this international workshop which was chaired by Prof. S.K Singh, Delhi Technological University ,Delhi and Co-Chairperson by Prof. A.
