Kabaddi leader Devi Dayal did not get true tribute?
Punjab government should start state sports award in the name of Devi Dayal

LUNDIANA NAKODAR MEHATPUR (HARJINDER PAL CHHABRA ) REPORTER

(Samaj Weekly)- Circle Style Kabaddi sport’s Bhisham Pitama, international player, coach Sahib and Kabaddi leader Baldevi Dayal Sharma Kube who passed away on 16 January 2024 Tribute ceremony on 25th January at the sports stadium of village Kube. Where the family members of Coach Sahib Devi Dayal, relatives apart from various Kabaddi Federations, sports lovers, political and social leaders offered flowers of devotion to that great soul and bid her farewell from this world forever.

Many political and sports spokesperson paid their tributes to Coach Devi Dayal Ji Many of the spokesperson described her past sporting achievements, her qualities, shared memories with her but how to maintain her memory, or her incomplete How to run the tasks forward and that was not mentioned by any speaker in his speech. I felt that Devi Dayal was limited to us only to the last prayer. Missing her forever after today.

At first, the sad side was that no minister, orange or sports department from the Punjab government did not reach out to offer flowers of devotion to this great player. If the Kabaddi world understood that Coach Sahib Devi Dayal was a huge contribution to Kabaddi and sports world, then they should have paid tribute that first of all, if Coach Sahib Devy Dayal Sharma’s family had any financial or social problems Come on and how to help her. There was no thought about this.

The second coach Sahib Devi Dayal is running the Kabaddi center at the sports stadium of village Kube and the center is a ray of hope for the future of Kabaddi how to run it. Who will be the current heir of Kube Kabaddi Center? Who will help that center, this idea was necessary.

The third thought was necessary that if the leader of Kabaddi is to be kept alive forever in the sports world, then the Punjab government should start a state sports award in her name to be given to a rising renowned Kabaddi player. It is a pinch for Punjab government to start this sports award, because if such an award starts then with the place where the award winner Kabaddi player will get huge financial support, unique recognition in the society then there will be Devi Dayal name forever in this world I will be immortal. Although Paramjit Singh Dala has announced to start award from Punjab Kabaddi Association in this regard, the big duty is of Punjab Government. The value of awards given by governments is something else.

In the gathering of this tribute event it was necessary to request our friend,ex international player of Kabaddi and present MLA Gurlal Singh Ghannur who represents Punjab Govt and it is also his duty to raise this matter in Punjab Vidhan Sabha so that May the memory of that great player be cherished forever. If Punjab government starts state sports award in the name of Devi Dayal, then it will be a good opportunity for the betterment of Kabaddi sport and to preserve the memory of players. You can talk as much as you want about the past, you can praise the praises of the past, nothing will happen to them, if still the Kabaddi players want to pay true tribute to some coach Devi Dayal, then they should put pressure on the Punjab Government to give them Kabaddi Sports Center. If Kuba gets an annual grant and Punjab government gives the state award to the Kabaddi player in their name, if this happens, it will be a good thing for the Kabaddi game, then there will be a true tribute to Coach Devi Dayal Ji. Then coach Devi Dayal’s family, area and Kabaddi world will feel proud. The rest of my heart was boiling, I wanted to say these things in the tribute ceremony, but I didn’t get the chance to say it in my own writing. God bless Kabaddi, God save.
