India, Pakistan soldiers exchange fire on LoC in Poonch district

Jammu, Indian and Pakistani soldiers traded fire on the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, officials said.

Defence ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand said, “Around 4.30 p.m. today, Pakistani army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing small arms along the LoC in Mankote sector of Poonch district.

“The Indian Army is retaliating strongly and effectively.”
