Bangalore (Samaj Weekly)- Samyak Prabodhan Pratishtan (SPP) is a strong Ambedkarite Buddhist organisation based out of Bangalore, Karnataka. Every year SPP organises programs commemorating various events related to life of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Tathagat Gautam Buddha. This year Dhamma Chakra Pravartana Dina was celebrated on the 28th of October, 2023 at Maharashtra Mandal, Bangalore inviting eminent Buddhist scholars such as Mr. Gauthama Prabhu Nagappan, and Dr. Arvind Gaikwad. Mr. Gauthama Prabhu Nagappan, Chairperson of Tamil Buddhist Council gave an inspiring talk on Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of Prabuddha Bharat with a great reception from the audience. He covered the aspects of Liberty-Equality-Fraternity, Educate-Agitate-Organise, World Fellowship of Buddhists, and the historic significance of Dr. Ambedkar’s conversion. He was further honoured by the organisers with the traditional Karnataka felicitations.
