Coventry City Council – Declares 14 April as Equality Day 2023

(Samaj Weekly)- Coventry City Council honours the work of Dr Bhim, Roa Ambedkar for Equality, Fraternity and Justice for all humanity.

This is a historical day for the City of Coventry in the UK to fully recognise the achievements of Dr Ambedkar for his legacy in the field of Human Rights.

He overcame his oppressed background to single-handedly remove untouchability in law thus giving equality to all persons irrespective of caste in India.

His Labour reforms for workers’ rights and gender equality for women that was vehemently opposed by all other parties show he was not just working for the interest of a marginalised sector but for humanity at large.

India and the world will learn in time the great works of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar as people had been denied education for thousands of years and denied knowledge of Dr Ambedkar.
