BJP MPs call AAP manifesto "bundle of lies", burn its copies

New Delhi,  BJP Rajya Sabha MPs Vijay Goel and Roopa Ganguly on Wednesday burnt copies of the manifesto of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), caling it “jhoot ka pulinda” or bundle of lies.

At a protest meeting in Jantar Mantar here Wednesday, Goel and Ganguly burnt copies of the manifesto which was released on Tuesday by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Goel said the copies of the manifesto were burnt to protest against Kejriwal for “misleading and deceiving” the people of Delhi.

“Repetition of 2015 and 2013 promises in the AAP’s 2020 manifesto reflects that nothing happened in the last five years,” he alleged.

Kejriwal promised free water of up to 20,000 litre for every household, but in view of its “poor quality”, people are spending more money on water purifiers, Goel claimed.

Ganguly also hit out at the AAP government in the national capital, claiming that Delhi’s condition has become “deplorable” in the last five years.

The 70-member Delhi Assembly will go to the polls on February 8, while the results will be declared on February 11.
