Seven security personnel injured in Srinagar grenade attack

Srinagar: Seven security personnel and two civilians were injured in a grenade attack by militants at Lal Chowk in Srinagar on Feb 10, 2019.

Srinagar,  Seven security personnel and two civilians were injured in a grenade attack by militants in the heart of Srinagar city in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday evening.

Police sources said the militants hurled the grenade at a group of security personnel in the city centre Lal Chowk.

“Nine people including two civilians, four CRPF troopers and three policemen were injured in the explosion,” a police officer said.

“The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. The area has been surrounded to carry out searches,” the officer said.
