Woman killed, husband and two kids injured after being hit by DTC bus

New Delhi, (Samajweekly) A 30-year-old woman died while her husband and two children were injured after their scooty was hit by a DTC bus in Delhi’s New Usmanpur area on Tuesday, police said.

The deceased was identified as Deepa while her husband Vikram (32) and two children, one aged around two years and other 10 months old, all residents of Ghaziabad, are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

According to police, at around 10.30 a.m., a police control room call was received regarding a fatal accident near Khajuri flyover following which a police team rushed to the spot.

During the initial probe, it was revealed that the couple with their children were traveling on a scooty when they were hit by a DTC bus.

“Accused driver Kunwar Pal Singh (45), a resident of old Seelampur, was also present on the spot. He had been beaten by the public,” said a senior police official, adding that the injured and deceased were shifted to JPC Hospital.
