Training on Mass Disaster Response Skills

            Under the leadership of a renowned disaster management expert Dr Jagbir Singh, advance three months national cum add on course in Swami Sharddhanand College, University of Delhi is launched.
                Dr Jagbir Singh, convener of the programme gave lecture on how to handle situation when a person is in  the grip of a disaster. He said, ” Neighbor is the best friend in emergency and we should discuss without wasting time with neighbor. He further said, there is no need to be panic. In an emergency situation, one needs to keep calm and understand the emergency situation and plan action accordingly in order to save oneself and nears and dears”.
              Dr Jagbir Singh is an authority on disaster management in India. He has written extensively on Disaster Management issues. His extensive work in the filed is appreciated by the United Nations body working on Disaster Management.
                 The training is very informative and the participants learnt many important things through his lecture.
                The chief guest vice chancellor prof. Rajendrakumar Anayath and the Principal of the college Dr. PV Khatri honored great personalities during the function who have contributed in the field of disaster management. Prominent personalities such as Dr B.W. Pandey, university of Delhi, Dr V.S. Negi, Member of Executive council, university of Delhi, Dr Mamta Sharma, Principal Aditi Mahavidyala, Dr Jyoti Juneja, Principal GVM Girls college, Sonepat, and Dr Anand Pal, convener refresher committee have extended support to the  success of the function.
              The book written by renowned scholar Prof. Anand Malik was released by the chief guest and the principal of the college.
