Kurukshetra,(Samajweekly)– “ Artificial Intelligence (AI) should be treated as just a tool and not as an all-purpose solution as there are several cases of its  misuse including cyber-crimes”, believes former Vice Chancellor Professor M.M. Goel and Kurukshetra based Needonomist. He was speaking today on the topic ‘   Artificial Intelligence with Alertness for Cyber Crimes & Security ’in the Virtual Vice Chancellors’ Round Table organised by Cyberlaw University, New Delhi.  Dr. Kusum Duggal Vice Chancellor welcomed and presented citation on the achievements of Prof. Goel.

Cybercriminals and hackers are increasingly using AI to launch even more sophisticated attacks even on national security, told Prof. Goel.

Altruism, Basic Needs & Commitment for the society are the implications of cyber security required for saying no to most of the problems caused by misuses of AI, said Prof. Goel.

For Facing chakravyuha challenges and solve the socio-economic problems including cobra effect, cyber security   is the key for Atmanirbharta, explained Prof. Goel.

The users of artificial intelligence have to be alert, aware and awake with vivek and become Street smart ( simple, moral, action-oriented, responsive and transparent) to face cybercrimes in digital India , said Prof. Goel.

As cybercrimes are not constrained by borders, we have to remove loopholes in Indian legal safeguards on theft of data, told Prof. Goel

He mentioned that personal data is sacrosanct and must be protected with legal safeguards.

To limit the damages for personal data, there should be no information gaps with or without a law as right to privacy is fundamental, said Prof. Goel.
