Ludhiana (Samaj Weekly)- Founder President of Jarkhar Games and Former Chairman of Education Board, Former Principal of Lailpur Khalsa College Jalandhar Raja Harnarinder Singh has bid adieu to this mortal world. He was 91 years old. He left behind a son, a daughter and family. His daughter Jasleen Kaur is the present principal at Layalpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Their funeral has been held in Jalandhar. His final prayers will be held on 19 September Tuesday from 1 to 2 pm at Gurdwara Singh Sabha Model Town Jalandhar.
Chairman Raja Harnarinder Singh Jharkhar was born on October 14, 1932 in Lahore at Dr. Jagandan Singh former director health department on the planet. His primary upbringing took place in village Jarkhar. Studied school from Lahore while MA degree was done from Government College Ludhiana in 1956. Appointed as a lecturer at Khalsa College Ludhiana in 1958. In 1959 he became principal at Garhdiwala then in 1969 he became principal at Khalsa College Nakodar. In 1977 he was the principal of Lailpur Khalsa College Jalandhar and held various posts of Guru Nanak Dev University. Jarkhar was the president of sports from 1986 to 1987. He upgraded the school of village Jharkhar to first 10th and then 12th. He was also the best cricketers of his time. His respected father Dr Jagandan Singh has been director health department he has given very good services to village Jharkhar. Expressing deep sorrow on the death of Chairman Raja Harninder Singh, Chairman of Mata Sahib Kaur Sports Charitable Trust and Jharkhar Narinderpal Singh Sidhu, Chief Manager Jagroop Singh Jharkhar, Chief Advocate Harkamal Singh, Jagdev Singh Jharkhar. Principal Ramdev, Iqbal Singh Sandhu, Surinder Singh Bhapa from Surjit Hockey Society, Other leaders shared condolences with the family and commended their services to the community.
