New Delhi, Swaraj India, a political party headed by Yogendra Yadav, has named Manju Yadav as its candidate from the Brijwasan Assembly segment for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls next year. The party is going to contest the polls on its own.
While announcing the candidature of Manju Yadav, Swaraj India Acting President Ajit Jha said that in the last 55 months, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has not fulfilled the promises it made during the last Assembly elections held in 2015.
Delhi will go to the polls in early next year with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seeking the mandate for a second time.
Swaraj India leaders were with AAP earlier, but they broke away after differences with Kejriwal.
