Starex University organizes online webinar on PCOS

Gurugram, (Samajweekly) Department of Forensic Sciences, School of Life Sciences, Starex University, Gurugram organized a webinar on ‘Gynecologists’ Interaction with Students and Staff on PCOS – Save the fertility’.

Dr. Manisha Yadav, who is presently working with Matrika Hospital, located in Rewari was the key resource person for the webinar. Dr Yadav emphasized on an early consultation with Doctor to manage PCOS. PCOS stands for Poly-Cystic Ovary Syndrome. It is a situation in which the ovaries produce an odd amount of androgens, the male sex hormones which may be commonly determined in women in small amounts.

Prof. Dr. M M Goel, Vice Chancellor, Starex University and founder Needonomics School of Thought while speaking on ‘Rationale for Needo-health in Woman Empowerment’ said that the relationships between Doctor and patients are under stress, caused by many factors including Consumer Protection Act. The role of unqualified quacks in rural health sector cannot be ignored, emphasized the Vice Chancellor. Needo-health calls for physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and societal health of women in India, believes Prof Goel.

In the end, the resource person Dr. Yadav thanked the organizers for arranging the live webinar. Dr. Divya Tyagi, Dean Academics delivered vote of thanks. She thanked the resource person, faculty members, participants and other officials for their active support for making the programme a success.
