Gurugram, (Samajweekly) Starex University organised a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) policy framework and innovation.

Dr Rahul Taneja was the key-note speaker for the day. He exchanged information highlighting the portals of Haryana Government to assist in patent filing. He also informed the students to register themselves in different government programs for diploma and degree for IPR and patent filing.

The batteries of every Indian as consumer, producer, distributor and trader needs to be charged with IPR awareness and empowered with its knowledge, observed Prof. M.M. Goel, Vice-Chancellor, Starex University Gurugram and Founder Needonomics School of Thought while addressing the participants.

One needs to be clever for protecting creativity and be ready to face the challenges of tomorrow, said Prof. Goel

The emergence of trade-related intellectual property rights (TRIPS) under the World Trade Organization (WTO) has been increasing in all sectors of the Indian economy having implications for the researchers to convert their patents into business propositions, told the VC Goel.

There were more than 100 attendees. The workshop was organized by IPR Cell initiated by Ms. Komal, Mr. Sandeep, Dr. Dinesh and Dr. Shalini Jauhari Nodal Officer. Special guest was Dr. Divya Tyagi Dean Academics of the University.
