Mumbai, “Iktara” hitmaker Kavita Seth says everyone owes this independence to the valiant freedom fighters who laid down their lives to make the country free.
“There’s nothing better than waking up to a free life and knowing you have the power to choose what you want to do and how,” Seth said in a statement to IANS.
“We owe this freedom to our valiant fighters who didn’t hesitate to give up their lives, just so their future generations can live the way they want to,” she added.
Seth will also perform on the last day of the ongoing Gaj Mahotsav on Independence Day at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Arts, New Delhi.
Gaj Mahotsav celebrates the grandeur of national treasure, the Asian Elephant, and encompasses its salient role in ecology as an integral part of our religion, mythology and literature.
On being associated with the fest, she said: “This campaign is a wonderful initiative, I am proud to be a part of this initiative. Preserving animals of our country and protecting them is what I am always in favour of.”
