SAMAJ WEEKLY UK-
London 21st December 2024
To raise awareness about meditation and its benefits, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 21 December as World Meditation Day, recalling the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health.
In a message by Satguru Uday Singh ji Maharaj the Spiritual Head of Namdhari Sikhs welcomes the UN initiative a significant moment in the global acknowledgment of the transformative power of Meditation.
Today on UN World Meditation Day, we gather to celebrate a powerful act that should ideally promote compassion, peace and unity.
This day serves as a vital reminder of our oneness with the creator, through which we can address global challenges and strive for harmony within ourselves, our communities and across the societies and humanity.
Nam Simran/Meditation helps us to nurture inner peace and collectively contribute to creating a resilient sustainable world for present and future generations.
Meditation is a state of mind, when we can create on the emptiness, when we see beyond the physical appearance of a specific person, when we are oneness with nothing, when we are thoughtless, when we are one with the creator, that is the state of the mind, eventually when we reach this stage, then we will realize we are one with the universe.
There is no one different, there is only one creator, only one God and we are one with him. As long as we are caught with physical appearance then there are differences.
At this stage only we can realize as Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind Singh preached to us, that there is a oneness, we are one, all the humanity is one but to reach this state of nothingness and blissfulness there are a precondition. Those preconditions are when we harbor no jealously, we let go of worries, placing our faith in the creator, who transcends, colour, creed and any specific community or religion.
The creator is present in every aspect of existence by practicing meditation with love for this creation. We find enjoyment that defies description, ultimately, we embrace the concept of universal creator and recognize the interconnectedness of all creation.
We lay the foundation for more harmonious world. A world filled with love and respect, where peace prevails, where oneness prevails, where there is no need for conflict and arsenal, so that arsenal becomes obsolete.
Let us meditate together, meditate on the one creator, lets foster environment of peace and understanding, in doing so, we play our part in shaping a beautiful world where there will be only love, there will be no jealousy and we will realize one creator and we will realize the enjoyment, which is beyond any description.
