Poll panel scraps petitions seeking de-registration of PML-N

Islamabad,   The Election Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday rejected applications seeking de-registration of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) or the removal of “N” from its name. While three applications had sought de-registration, one had pleaded against “N.”

The ECP had reserved its verdict in all four cases on September 10, Dawn news reported.

PML-N supremo and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is serving a 10-year sentence following his recent conviction in a corruption case.
