New Delhi, (Samajweekly) Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal on Thursday directed the transfer of North Delhi Municipal Corporation’s Commissioner Varsha Joshi with “immediate effect” and directed her to report to Chief Secretary Vijay Dev.
In an order, the Delhi Services Department said Gyanesh Bharti, the Commissioner, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, will hold the additional charge of Commissioner, North MCD.
Bharti, a 1998-batch IAS officer, has been asked to take care of the North MCD “till further orders”. Meanwhile, Joshi, a 1995 batch IAS officer, has been asked to report to the Chief Secretary.
