Nacho, Casemiro remain sidelined as Real Madrid gears up for Valencia clash

Madrid,   Real Madrid Spanish defender Nacho Fernandez and Brazilian midfielder Casemiro remained on the sidelines on Friday as Los Blancos concluded their preparation ahead of the upcoming La Liga match against Valencia.

Both players are still going through rehab for their injuries, while Alvaro Odriozola, Jesus Vallejo and Sergio Reguilon resumed group training, during the few minutes the media was allowed to attend, as they recovered from their injuries, reports Efe news.

Real Madrid hopes the momentum the team gained by defeating Roma 2-0 in Group G of the UEFA Champions League continues against Valencia, a team that aims to bounce back following their 0-1 defeat to Juventus in Group H of the elite continental tournament.

In their first La Liga match under Santiago Solari as permanent coach, Real Madrid was defeated 3-0 by Eibar, their fifth loss in 13 La Liga matches.

Real Madrid holds the 6th spot in the La Liga table with 20 points, on goal differential ahead of Girona, six points behind leader Sevilla.
