London Ayurveda Centre of Excellence Targeted by Fake News
25 November 2024

SAMAJ WEEKLY, UK

Yesterday, a targeted fake news attack was launched against London’s Ayurveda Centre of Excellence (ACE) and its founder, Mr. Amarjeet Singh Bhamra. The false claims circulated via social media in the form of a meme styled as a news article, containing fabricated statements about ACE and Mr. Bhamra.

The post, which appears to be a screenshot from an alleged Indian publication, Dainik Bhaskar, reportedly published in Raipur on 24 November 2024, claims to be authored by “Mohammad Ali of London.” However, both the publication and the author remain unverified.

“The statements attributed to me in this post are completely false. I have never heard of a reporter named Mohammad Ali or the newspaper Dainik Bhaskar, nor have I had any communication with them,” Mr. Bhamra stated. He firmly denies the claims made in the post and calls for anyone with information about its origins to come forward.

The Ayurveda Centre of Excellence is committed to advancing UK-based research into Ayurveda, supporting its integration into long-term NHS healthcare strategies.

While the source of this misleading post remains unknown, Mr. Bhamra and his team continue their mission undeterred. “Ayurveda embodies the spirit of public service, aiming to create a disease-free society and a peaceful world. I cannot understand why anyone would propagate such misinformation,” Mr. Bhamra said.

The motive behind this deliberate attempt to spread falsehoods remains unclear.
