LCA Tejas gets FOC for induction into IAF

Bengaluru: The Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification (Cemilac) Chief Executive P. Jayapal hands over the 'release-to-service' documents to the Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal B.S. Dhanoa at the Aero India air show in Bengaluru on Feb 20, 2019. India's Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas got the final operational clearance (FOC) from military aviation regulator Cemilac for induction into the Indian Air Force (IAF) as a weaponised fighter jet in its operational fleet.

Bengaluru,  India’s Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas got the final operational clearance (FOC) from military aviation regulator Cemilac for induction into the Indian Air Force (IAF) as a weaponised fighter jet in its operational fleet, an official said on Wednesday.

The Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification (Cemilac) Chief Executive P. Jayapal handed over the ‘release-to-service’ documents to the Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal B.S. Dhanoa at the Aero India air show here.
