IUML gets one Lok Sabha seat from DMK

Chennai,  The DMK and the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) on Friday reached an electoral agreement whereby the latter gets to contest in one seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

In a statement issued here, the DMK said an agreement has been reached with IUML after talks.

As per the agreement, IUML will contest in one seat from Tamil Nadu.

On Thursday, DMK and the Congress inked a deal so that the latter would contest in nine seats in Tamil Nadu and the lone Puducherry seat.
