Essex (UK) (Samajweekly) The Indian Workers Association (Great Britain) has expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Mrs Jasbir Kaur, beloved wife of Comrade Ajit Singh Jassar, a resident of Bulphan, Upminster (Essex) and a Central Committee member of the Indian Workers Association (Great Britain). The news of Mrs Jasbir Kaur’s passing has brought sadness to family members, relatives, friends and all who knew her. She was known for her warm nature, simplicity, friendliness and devotion to her family. Her passing is a great loss to her family and to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Comrade Ajit Singh Jassar and his family have been associated with social, community and progressive activities for many years and are highly respected within the Essex community.
On this occasion, Sital Singh Gill, General Secretary of the Indian Workers Association (Great Britain), said:
“We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs Jasbir Kaur Ji. Jasbir Kaur Ji will always be remembered as a kind, loving and respected individual. At this difficult time, we stand in solidarity with the entire Jassar family and share in their grief.”
According to the programme announced by the family, Antim Darshan (Final Viewing) will take place on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, at 9:30 am at Rapuala, Albert Road, Bulphan, Upminster, Essex RM14 3SB. The Antim Sanskar (Cremation Service) will be held at 11:30 am at South Essex Crematorium, Ockendon Road, Corbets Tey, Upminster, Essex RM14 2UY. Following the cremation, the Sri Sehaj Path Bhog will take place at 1:00 pm at Gurdwara Sahib, 66 Maidstone Road, Grays, Essex RM17 6NF. The family has invited relatives, friends, comrades and members of the wider community to attend and pay their final respects.
