(Samaj Weekly)- Bharat Jodo Yatra has helped the citizens of India to regain back their confidence that was lost through the fear created by the BJP since their take over in 2014. The fear has sunk in because nearly all the authorities are bypassing the laws set in the Constitution for public protection.
The public has lost faith in the Police and the Courts. The Police forces are very aggressively using lathi sticks on the public and the Courts are giving judgements in Government’s favour even after knowing about the sufferings the public is going through.
The Judges on retirement are being facilitated with opportunities within the Government and this has raised many questions upon the judiciary in India. Honourable Chanderachud has been recently sworn in as the Chief Justice and is announcing fair judgments. He remains in this position till end of 2024.
Rahul’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and the Judgments by Chief Justice Honourable Chanderachud, have sparked a new hope that the democracy and the Constitution can both be saved. It must be remembered that Independence was gained following a lot of struggles and strives.
People from all beliefs and religions have put a united effort to gain Independence. So upon it’s achievement India was declared as a secular country and on these grounds the Constitution was drafted. The caste system that had spread hatred since many centuries was finally outlawed to promote equality and unity in India.
A group against secularism was formed and is known as the RSS. The BJP is it’s off shoot and now both are putting a united effort to establish Hindutva meaning Hindu Rashtra in India. To achieve this, they want to bring the outlawed Manusmirity back into the system which was outlawed because it classified society and spread hate.
Now again hatred against the minorities is on rise. Murders through mob lynching are happening daily and the houses belonging to the lower end of the society and the Muslims are being bulldozed. Their cries are falling on deaf ears. The public is coming out in support but is having no effect because the Government is behind this.
The Judges, the Police and the members of the Parliament, although they have been sworn in under the Constitution’s oath but are now working against it. Nearly all the Parties are standing together in oppose to this but are being pestered by the authorities to stop them voicing against the Government.
Now all the eyes are set on Chief Justice Honourable Chanderachud because he has so far given very fair judgements.
The Hindutva promoters on the stages are very openly urging their supporters to massacre of the Dalits, Christians and the Muslims. In their demonstrations and even in the Police presence, are using vulgar language and waving illegal weapons such swords etc.
A couple of the reporters, who have shown this coverage on the social media, have been issued with notices for disturbance of peace but the offenders in the video with the weapons are still walking free.
It is quite doubtful that any action would be taken against them because they are supporting the Government’s agenda and that is to establish Hindutva in India. It seems through spread of fear and terror, the Government is trying to gain their votes. Gaining of votes in this manner is not democratic but is fascistic.
In Britain, the voters on their own judgement are casting votes. No one is pressurised and all the rules are followed but in India since 2014 all the rules are being ignored. EVM machines are being hacked. The voters are being stopped from reaching polling booths. The voters from the lower end on the society, because of fear are casting votes against their choice.
In the villages, it is Gunda Raj meaning undemocratic Rule. The houses of the poor end of the society are being bulldozed. Their possessions are being destroyed right in front of their own eyes and to get these they have worked for all their lives.
In the cities, the migrant labour settled in small locations. The Government assisted in their settlement because without their labour the cities would not have expanded. All the facilities such as water, electricity were supplied. Offers for buying the plots were given and many took advantage and had put all their savings towards building of their houses. But now upon Court approval are being bulldozed.
The people are now living on the rubble left by the bulldozers. A few hours ago it was their house and now it is rubble without their ownership. All the documentation they had was worthless to the Courts or the decisions may have been different.
Thousands have now lost their properties via these Court approvals. A lot of dismay is present against the Courts in India because their judgements seem to be in Government’s favour. Such a big scam has come to light in India and is under worldwide attention but the individuals involved in this scam have not yet faced any inquiry.
Through a single Corporation, complete monopoly in business was being established. The destruction of the established areas is to take control of the land and to destroy the progress of the poor that they have achieved since Independence.
From such disheartening judgements and promoting of the Judges following retirement shows that some Judges have been stationed in the Courts to promote Hindutva. Hindutva is going to be beneficial for the Corporations and will be disastrous for the rest.
Unemployment in India is at large. The people are struggling to survive. Many are committing suicides. The public has been degraded to a stage where their survival now depends on the 5 kilograms of wheat given by the Government.
Very intentionally, unemployment has been let to flourish so through sympathetic propaganda of five kilograms of wheat their votes can be gained. The public has now sussed out the intentions behind this offer and are not going to fall into this trap because under Hindutva, their future looks very bleak.
So it falls on all residing in India and elsewhere to play their part in saving of the Constitution to protect democracy in India. All the opposition parties will have to unite and act as one unit to defeat might of BJP in 2024. 85% soul is Constitution and for 15%’s is Manusmirity.
