Islamabad, Pakistan claims to have achieved all the ‘United Nations Kashmir Mission’ targets and the goals Prime Minister Imran Khan had set before visiting the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
“Due to an effective strategy, Prime Minister Khan’s Mission Kashmir for the UN was successful,” Pakistan PM’s Special Advisor for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan was quoted as saying by the Pakistan media.
Interacting with the media after a federal cabinet meeting, she said, “The Prime Minister had directly or indirectly interacted with world leaders, think-tanks and international media 70 times during the visit. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also attended around 50 meetings”.
The objective of all these 120 meetings was to expose the atrocity being committed by India in Kashmir, she said. Many leaders got to know about the deteriorating situation in Kashmir through these meetings and extended their support to Pakistan, she added.
From Awan’s statements it’s clear that Pakistan’s only aim was to put present its stand before the leaders.
