GURU NANAK DEV JI 552nd GURPURB AND SIKH CHAPLAINCY PRAYER DAY CELEBRATIONS IN LEICESTER

(Samaj Weekly)- Guru Nanak Dev Ji 552nd Gurpurb and Sikh Chaplaincy Prayer Day celebrations were held at Guru Amar Das Gurdwara, Clarendon Park Road, Leicester on Wednesday 24th November 2021 when the Sangat came for a special Sukhmani Sahib Pathh and Kirtan Diwaan.

One of the organisers, UK Sikh Healthcare Chaplaincy Group Chairman, Bhai Kartar Singh Bring said the programme was opportunity to come together in Guru Ji’s Darbar and pray for the well-beingh and Chardikala of the NHS, hospital staff, volunteers, patients and families.

Sikh Chaplaincy Sewadar, Sulakhan Singh Dard explained that due to the Covid-19 restrictions in hospital the annual event could not take place there again this year and was very grateful to the management committee of the Gurdwara. He also gave a special thanks to all those who contributed. The event raised £3000 which will be donated to LOROS Hospice, British Heart Foundation and the UHL hospitals charity.
