GURU NANAK DEV JI 551st GURPURB AND SIKH CHAPLAINCY PRAYER DAY CELEBRATIONS IN LEICESTER

 

Leicester, (Samaj Weekly)- Guru Nanak Dev Ji 551st Gurpurb and Sikh Chaplaincy Prayer Day celebrations were held at Guru Amar Das Gurdwara, Clarendon Park Road, Leicester on Tuesday 8th December 2020.

After the Shabad Kirtan, Ardas was said for the well being of all patients in hospitals, doctors, nurses and all workers and staff, volunteers  and Sarbat Da Bhla.

One of the organisers, Sikh Chaplin Kartar Singh explained that he personally said prayers in the hospital Chaplin and due to the Covid-19 restrictions in hospital the annual event could not take place there this year.

Sulakhan Singh Dard thanked everyone for their kind donation,  Darshan Singh Johal the President of Gurdwara and the management committee  who contributed £101.  The event raised £525 which will be given to Leicester Hospital Charity and Loros Hospice.
