Facebook, Instagram restored after global outage

San Francisco, Twitter users from different parts of the world took to the micro-blogging site to report Facebook and Instagram outage which was later restored.

“Earlier today some people may have had trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps due to a networking issue. We have resolved the issue and are fully back up, we apologise for the inconvenience,” news portal TechCrunch quoted a Facebook spokesperson as saying in a statement.

According to reports, the outage begun before 10 a.m. ET and the problems popped up around the US, Europe, South America, and Asia.

“So Facebook isn’t uploading videos this morning? (at least it’s not working here),” tweeted Sean Platter, Art Director at Universal Animation Studios, Los Angeles.

“Facebook share not working today,” wrote another user.

The social media giant experienced a major outage in March and two other incidents happened in April and July.
