EU boosts military funding to Ukraine

Brussels, (Samajweekly) The European Union (EU) member states have adopted a decision to boost a fund used to support military aid in Ukraine.

It was announced by Josep Borrell, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Xinhua news agency reported.

“This is already the second increase of the European Peace Facility funding since its creation in 2021,” said Borrell.

According to Borrell, the fund will be boosted by 3.5 billion euros ($3.8 billion).

“Ukraine remains our No.1 priority,” Borrell tweeted after the decision was adopted.
