New York, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has said that he was determined to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un “face-to-face without attaching any conditions”.
Abe made the remarks on Tuesday while addressing the General Debate at the ongoing 74th UN General Assembly here, Xinhua news agency reported.
“I am determined to meet Chairman Kim Jong-un myself face-to-face without attaching any conditions,” Abe said.
Abe said that he wants his country to normalize relations with North Korea by resolving their outstanding issues, including the abduction of Japanese nationalsby Pyongyang in the 1970s and 1980s.
