New Delhi, A total of 647 challans were issued for drunken driving in the national capital on the occasion of Holi on Tuesday, Delhi Police said on Wednesday.
According to the police, as many as 156 challans were issued for dangerous driving, 181 for triple riding and 1,192 were issued for not wearing helmets.
In 2019, the police issued challans to 5,624 motorists under different rules of traffic violations. There were 218 challans for dangerous driving, 1,941 for drunken driving, 2,129 for not wearing helmets and 499 for triple riding.
