Kurukshetra, (Samajweekly)– “ Conversion of careless into careful and useless into useful Indian youth is the greatest challenge in implementation of New Education Policy for needoeducation ,” opined former Vice Chancellor Professor M.M. Goel, presently Advisor Public Finance 6th State Finance Commission Haryana .
He was addressing online Gurudakshta-Faculty Induction Programme organised by UGC-HRDC in collaboration with Dept. of Education, Kurukshetra University today on the topic ‘Teachers Role in Implementation of New Education Policy” here today. Dr. Rajvir Singh, Chairperson and coordinator of the programme delivered welcome address and presented citation on the achievements of Prof. Goel.
To ensure quality research, we have to encourage the scholars for making analysis before covid (BC) and after covid (AC) for drawing the policy implications, told Prof. Goel.
To become reflective, we need face to face teaching for wisdom and online education just create interest for that and cannot be substitute of class room, believes Prof. Goel.
We have to work out the strategies for overcoming the limitations of e-teaching and e-learning for implementing NEP, said Prof .Goel.
To compete with the foreign universities, we need to accept the challenge with spiritual training of teachers based on sermons from Gita and Anu-Gita for enlightened global citizenship in Hinglish if not English language, told Prof. Goel.
The fraternity of teachers have to be ready for all the challenges by becoming street smart teachers (simple, moral, action oriented, responsive and transparent) with effective leadership qualities, told Goel.
We need to reduce the scarcity of teachers by encouraging shadow teachers out of senior students under earn while you learn scheme, told Prof. Goel.
