Commemoration of World Food Day at Starex University Gurugram

Gurugram ,(Samajweekly) School of Hotel Management ,Starex University commemorates  World Food Day  here today.  Prof. Dr M. M. Goel Vice Chancellor and Founder of Needonomics School of Thought expressed his concern on  101st position of India in Global Hunger Index. He pointed out that the rate of deaths caused by  starvation is less than the rate of deaths caused by over-consumption, meaning thereby , we have to adopt needo-consumption for saving the humanity from starvation.

We need to stop wastage of food and grains to ensure zero hunger as second target of SDGs even if we don’t rely the 101st ranking among 116 nations in terms of Global Hunger Index by questioning the credibility of the data releasing agencies, told Prof. Goel.

Shri G S Kalra, Director of School of Hotel Management advised that the wastage at hotels, restaurants and even at homes must be minimized as it is a sheer wastage of resources and must rather be utilized by feeding the hungry. Shri  Kalra also has strong conviction against the consumption of fast food.

Registrar Dr. S.L. Vasihta, Ms Sapna, Mr.Bhupinder and Mr Virender of the School of Hotel Management were present on the occasion.
