The ‘Chat with Chithra’ series aims to showcase visionaries, performing artists and professionals from different disciplines. The chat is organised by the British Carnatic Choir and hosted by Dr Chithra Ramakrishnan, FRSA FRAS, an arts professional based in the Midlands.
Episodes of ‘Chat with Chithra’ feature guests of all ages and abilities – this is a platform for them to share their work, projects, and thoughts with others. Content covered so far involves topics related to arts, science, politics, and lifestyle, to name a few!
This talk show has three main objectives:
- To highlight extraordinary people, who have made a significant societal contribution
- To inspire viewers to pursue their specific interests
- To unite the different cultures, present within our society today
There is also a more relaxed and informal segment in the show, titled the ‘Lighter Side of You’, which essentially explores a more personal side of the guest speaker which is not otherwise portrayed to an audience. It is a series of light questions to showcase the guest’s unique personality.
The chat show was launched in July 2020, and since its conception, I have hosted over 40 episodes featuring inspiring personalities. It all began with the first episode along with my dear mentor, Dr Paul Sabapathy ji CVO CBE. Other prominent guests include, but are certainly not limited to:
