Centre sanctioned projects worth Rs 9,000 crore: Himachal CM

Shimla,   The Central government has sanctioned development projects worth Rs 9,000 crore in the past 10 months for Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said on Wednesday.

The state government is focused on development of those areas that were neglected by the previous Congress government, Thakur said at a public meeting at Gorkhuwala near Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur district.

The government aims to provide a cooking gas connection to every household by the end of next year.

Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated a tehsil office building at Paonta Sahib, which, he said, would immensely benefit the people of the area.
