Amritsar (Samaj Weekly)- A special discussion seminar was organized by Amritsar Vikas Manch on the newly published book “Rababbi Bhai Mardana te Puratan Keertania” authored by New York based S. Gurinderpal Singh Josan. Inaugrating the seminar Principal Kulwant Singh Ankhi patron AVM congratulated and felicitated S Josan for his research dedication on rare touched subject. After midwife Daultan, Sister Bebe Nanakee and Rai Bular, Bhai Mardana recognised spirituality of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.He became the musical companion of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji at Nankana Sahib. When Guru Nanak Dev Ji set on long travels , Bhai Mardana accompanied Guru ji facing all odds of the unknown and faraway places with spiritual dedication and sincerity. He composed music in musical mesures . Bhai Mardana breathed his last in the presence of Guru ji, who performed his last rites. Bhai Mardana’s eighteenth and nineteenth generations Bhai Nayam Lal, Bhai Muhamad Husain and Bhai Sarfraj were living in a penury in Lahore for whom S. Josan has worked a lot by providing them with suitable accommodations and monthly pensions amounting to almost eighty thousand with the financial assistance from SGPC Amritsar and Delhi DSGMC. Previously S. Josan has worked hardly on “Saragarhi Martyrs” by preparing their sketches from eminent artists .Based on his research work bollywood movie “Kesri “was produced.
He also welcome Sardarni Kamaljit Kaur Gill, vice President Bhai Mardana foundation Inc. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Charanjit Singh Gumtala praised S. Josan for his research work on Bhai Mardana ji. He narrated that Mughals and Britishers burnt most of the Sikh literature which are needed to be reproduced by researching dedicatedly.
S. Josan briefed about his sincere efforts put in for the research work on Saragarhi Martyrs and Bhai Mardana ji. President AVM, Manmohan Singh Brar, Gen. Secretary S. Nishan Singh, Er.
