Dear all,
Namo Buddhaya! Jai Bhim!
(Samaj Weekly)- The month of October in India is a very busy month for all of us commemorating the historic embracing of Buddhism by Emperor Ashoka and Bodhisatva Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Indians particularly the followers of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar celebrated all over the world. The people of Karnataka organised many such programs in their state. One such program was organised by a team of dedicated Ambedkarites in Gulbarga, Karnataka on 7th & 8th of October 2023. Dr. Dilip Kumar Navale from the Forensic Department is the one of dedicated Ambedkarite Buddhist who was instrumental in organising at St. Mary’s Church Hall, Kalaburagi (Gulbarga), Karnataka. Ambedkarites from different parts of the country represented during the event.

As being a Dhammamitra of Triratna Boudha Mahasangha, and interim chairperson of Tamil Buddhist Council, I was asked to speak about the vision of Dr. Ambedkar on Prabuddha Bharat covering aspects of Liberty, Equality, Fraternity; and Educate, Agitate, Organise. It gave the opportunity for me to introduce the Trirtatna Boudha Mahasangha to the participants which was widely appreciated by the participants. Karnataka has a great potential in leading the Buddhist movement of South India, and I am very happy to be part of this great endeavour in carrying the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision. Thank you to all my mentors, teachers, well-wishers, and fellow practitioners of Dhamma.
