(Samaj Weekly)- It gives us great pleasure to announce that “Dr. Vijaykumar Trisharan has been chosen as this year’s recipient of the Dr. Ambedkar International Award 2021. Dr. Vijay Kumar Trisharan has done phenomenal work in initiated Jhola Pustakalaya (a Mobile bag library) concept in rural and remote areas of Jharkhand. He also wrote more than 30 books on various subjects. He is currently president of Ambedkar Chetna Parishad and Buddhist Mission society.
We are also happy to announce that the recipient of the Savitrimai Phule International Award 2021 is Dr. Indu Choudhary. Dr. Indu Chaudhary is an Asst. Professor of English in Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi India. She is General Secretary of SC/ST Employee Welfare Association , BHU Varanasi. She is also the Chief Editor of an International Journal named MOOKNAYIKA. To her credit she has three books published in her academics and also a number of research papers in various national and international journals of repute. She has read many papers in international and national conferences. She has guided four Doctorial thesis in her subject, one of the topic being FEMINIST PERSPECTIVE IN THE WRITINGS OF BABA SAHEB AMBEDKAR.
“Mooknayak” Excellency in Journalism Award
Ambedkar Association of North America (AANA) initiated the “Mooknayak” Excellency in Journalism Award from 2020 year on the Centenary year of Mooknayak. The award is an honour for the exceptional work done for raising voice and awareness about the social issues of marginalized following the vision of Dr. Ambedkar. The award shall be conferred on individuals/organizations who have done outstanding work in Print or Digital Media.

National Dastak YouTube channel launched in 2015 has a current reach of more than 4.5 Million subscribers. National Dastak is consistently raising the issues of marginalized in digital and social media.

The AANA Board members unanimously decided to honour Bhante Surai Sasai with a Dr. Ambedkar International Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Dr. Ambedkar International Lifetime Achievement Award was instituted from the year 2020 by the Ambedkar Association of North America(AANA). The award is an honour for the exceptional work done for social change over a lifetime following the vision of Dr. Ambedkar. The award shall be conferred on individuals/organizations who have done outstanding work
