(Samajweekly) Mumbai: With a view to create awareness about COVID-19 and help administration in implementation of preventive measures, Ajay Kaul, President of Social organisation “Ekata Manch”, will be organising a street play “Corona Mukt Samaj” (corona free society) throughout Mumbai. Through medium of this street play, Kaul seeks to urge people that the COVID-19 is spreading fast and as such they should not take the matter lightly and strictly follow COVID-19 preventive norms.
As part of this initiative, the inaugural street play “Corona Mukt Samaj” was successfully organised by “Ekata Manch” at Seven Bungalows garden, Andheri west on March 16,2021. Ajay Kaul, Additional Commissioner of Police (West region) Sandip Karnik, Senior Police Inspector Siraj Inamdar of Versova Police Station, Senior Police Inspector of D N Nagar Police Station Gaikwad, Shiv Sena Corporator Pratima Khopde, Prashant Kashid and others viewed the play and advised people to be aware of the coronavirus.
The street play “Corona Mukt Samaj” emotional and seeks to communicate that the entire family faces a trauma, if its member falls sick or passes away. Maharashtra Chief Minister Udhav Thackeray has initiated right steps and has stood strong amid pandemic and the people should behave responsibly and make his hands strong.
Ajay Kaul said that those in administration like ministers, leaders, police, doctors, BMC employees are working hard to ward off Coronavirus and ensure people’s safety. As such we all should support the authorities in this mission.
The Children Welfare Centre High School Activity Chairman Prashant Kashid said that we should not roam without any reason. We should not organise picnics and excursions. Besides, we should follow the COVID-19 protocol of wearing face mask, to maintain social distance and wash hands time to time, till such time the coronavirus goes away.
