South Indian Buddhist Conference was organised on the 21st of September 2024 at Buddhabhoomi, Vengodu, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The chairperson of South Indian Buddhist Council was invited as the chief guest for the program presided by several monks and social leaders. This conference was seen as a platform to come together, share knowledge and experiences in order to deepen the understanding on Dhamma.
The conference organisers such as Dr. Anil Naga, Mr. Thollur Rajagopalan Nagan, Mr. Mariappan, Mr. Bharathi Prabhu, and others did a commendable work in making it successful. I gave a talk about Dr. Ambedkar’s “Buddha and the future of his Religion” alongside the teachings of Bhante Urgyen Sangharakshita. Many has developed keen interest in knowing more about the TBM movement and requested for training sessions. This is a wonderful experience and I rejoice the merits of all those who were instrumental in making this event possible.
