(Samaj Weekly)- M M Deshmukh is fondly known as Mam Deshmukh based in Nagpur. He is a historian and has written considerably on the issues of Bahujan history. Known for his strong voice against irrationality and exposing the dominant caste Brahmanical narratives, M M Deshmukh faced a lot of threats and intimidations but he remained undeterred. The conversation was conducted at his residence in Nagpur several years ago. The issues raised by him and his observation regarding the Dalit Bahujan movement are extremely important for the strength of the movements. As he said, all these movements need to be led by the Buddhists only then they will succeed as they have the ideological clarity on the issue.
डाक्टर माम देशमुख महाराष्ट्र के एक प्रमुख बहुजन इतिहासकार है और उन्होंने कुतर्को और अवैज्ञानिक तथ्यों के खिलाफ अपनी आवाज उठाई है . डाक्टर देशमुख का साफ़ कहना है के बहुजन समाज को बाबा साहेब के विचारों पर चलना होगा और नयी पीढ़ी को तैयार करना होगा. बिना अम्बेडकरवादी बुद्धिस्ट नेतृत्व के बहुजन समाज आगे नहीं बढ़ सकता. उन्होंने शिवाजी पर भी बहुत लिखा और इस सन्दर्भ में ब्राह्मणवादी विमर्श का पर्दाफाश भी किया है.
