Modi to inaugurate Solapur-Osmanabad section of NH-211 on Wednesday

New Delhi,  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Wednesday inaugurate the 58 km, four-lane Solapur-Tuljapur-Osmanabad section of the National Highway-211 (new NH-52) in Solapur in Maharashtra.

The project is part of a larger project for four-laning of 98.717 km Solapur-Yedashi section of NH-211 at a cost of Rs 972.50 crore, the government said.

The project for which the Prime Minister had laid the foundation in 2014 will help improve connectivity of Solapur with the important Marathwada region of Maharashtra.

“The section of the highway to be dedicated to the nation tomorrow (Wednesday) has road safety features like two major and 17 minor bridges, four vehicular and 10 pedestrian underpasses, besides one 3.4 km bypass at Tuljapur that will help decongest the city,” the Road Transport and Higways Ministry said in a statement.
