New Delhi, (Samajweekly) A total of 54 people recovered from Covid infection and were discharged from various hospitals in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddh Nagar district in the last 24 hours, the state authorities said on Wednesday.
So far, total Covid positive cases in Gautam Buddh Nagar district are 707 out of which 477 people have been cured. So far 10 people have succumbed to the virus
On Wednesday, 17 people were found positive.
The authorities said that health camps were organised in 12 sensitive places in the district. A total of 664 people were screened and 19 patients of fever and one patient of SARI (Severe Acute Respiratory Illness) were detected and admitted to hospital, the authorities said.
Gautam Buddh Nagar was formed on September 6, 1997 by carving out the portions of Ghaziabad and Bulandshahar. It includes Dadri and Bisrakh blocks carved out of Gaziabad, while Dankaur and Jewar blocks have been carved out of Bulandshahar District. The district is spread over 1442 square kilometre and as per last census the population was 16,48,000 and literacy rate is 80.1 percent. It comprises of 423 villages.
Within the district, an industrial township New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA), which is spread over 20,316 hectares with many sectors fully developed, was set up in 1976.
It is located at the fringes of Delhi, the national capital. The city has all the key advantages of Delhi. The development area encompasses about 20,316 hectares of land consisting of 81 villages of district Gautam Buddh Nagar.
It is one of the largest industrial townships of Asia. Set up in 1976, with a view to develop an Integrated Industrial Township for the industrial growth of the area, under the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Area Development Act, it best symbolizes harmony between human habitat and industrial enterprise.
