5.4-magnitude quake hits Nikolski, Alaska: USGS

Moderate quake shakes Assam

New York,  An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted 94 km east of Nikolski, Alaska, in the US at 18:43:43 GMT Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicentre, with a depth of 27.75 km, was initially determined to be at 52.9266 degrees north latitude and 167.4641 degrees west longitude, the Xinhua news agency reported.
