On, 28 Jan. 2019, a team of organizations submitted a memorandum to the Indian Consulate in Birmingham UK, to express our  fears about the deteriorating situation for Human Rights in the country.

Prof. Anand Teltumbde

In particular we raised the matter of distinguished academic and dalit intellectual (grand son-in-law of Dr. Ambedkar) Prof. Anand Teltumbde who is accused of violence at the Bhima-Koregaon Jan 2018 meeting that he did not even attend.

The Memorandum, submitted to the Counsel General who assured us that our concerns would be transmitted to the Government.
During a 40 minute interaction with the high officials we conveyed our disappointment that the developments in the country today are indeed tarnishing India’s image.
