He said providing relief to the flood-hit people is a top priority of the state government. For this, he pointed out, it is necessary that the assessment report is submitted to the Central government in time.

The Chief Minister also directed the District Magistrates to ensure the first calamity assessment report reaches the state government within 7 days and the second one in 15 days.

Stressing on the need for prompt help and relief to flood-affected people, Adityanath directed the officials to submit an amended memorandum at the earliest on this year’s flood.

He also directed the officials of the flood-affected districts to sensitise farmers to take up organic farming because the farmers in such districts do not use fertilisers and pesticides.
