Important Meeting of Azad & Press Welfare Club Successfully Concluded Under the Chairmanship of President Happy Rana; Newly Appointed Youth Congress President Attends as Chief Guest
Balachaur, (Samajweekly) (Jatinderpal Singh Kaler): An important and special meeting of the Azad & Press Welfare Club was successfully concluded under the presidency of club president Naresh Kumar Happy Rana. During the commencement of the meeting, General Secretary Dr. Tejinder Singh Jot read out the detailed report of the various activities and social works undertaken by the club during the past month. On this occasion, Chairman Satish Kumar, who specially arrived from Kathgarh, and Tarsem Kataria from Pozewal extended a warm welcome to all the guests and the journalist community present at the meeting. In this special meeting, the newly appointed Youth Congress President of District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Eng. Hitraj Jandi, attended as the chief guest. Abhishek Rana, Ravi Rana, and Shanty Rana were also specially present alongside him. It is worth mentioning that highly educated Engineer Hitraj Jandi, who holds an M.Tech from Chandigarh and an LL.B. from Punjab University, Patiala, has previously rendered stellar services as a member of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), General Secretary of Youth Congress Punjab, and General Secretary of the district. Recently, he won the District Youth Congress election and took charge as the District President. Press Must Save Youth from Going Astray by Bringing Forward the Truth: Hitraj Jandi Addressing the meeting, chief guest Hitraj Jandi expressed special thanks to the Press Club. Highlighting the importance of the press, he stated that the press is the fourth pillar of society and democracy. He strongly appealed to the entire journalist community to verify the truth behind every news and task and convey it to the public through newspapers and channels, so that today’s younger generation can be saved from drugs and going astray, and be guided onto the right path. If our youth section moves in the right direction, only then can our country, society, and family progress. Therefore, it is highly essential to bring the truth forward to lead the youth on the correct path. On this important occasion, further expanding the scope of the club, Jasveer Singhpuri from Pozewal accepted the new membership of the club, who was warmly welcomed by the entire leadership of the club. A large number of other prominent personalities and respected individuals from the journalist community were present in this meeting, including Jatinder Pal Singh Kaler Kaler, Jaswinder Bains, Satnam Chahal, Umesh Joshi, Sherjang Rana, Samardeep Singh, Sona Pandit, and Surjeet Singh Kangna Bet.
