Bedford (Samaj Weekly)- The fourth Khalsa Football Federation tournament of this year took place on 8th and 9th July at Bedford which was watched by thousands of football fans even though the weather was damp but not the football played. The venue had excellent facilities with everything nearby and Guru Ka Langar provided by the local Gurdwara Sahib and served by Sewadars { Volunteers }.
In the Adults Section, not even Wolves not turning up in the Premier Division, and some others from Division 1 and Youth Division could not prevent great days of football. In the Veterans Over 35s group of tams FC Khalsa Leicester did rally well to reach the final but ran out of fresh legs in the end.
As has been the norm at previous tournaments the Junior Section was very popular and all the clubs set up their own tents for resting between games and acted as changing rooms. Khalsa FC Leicester won this Under 15s section. The team put in a gutsy performance all throughout the tournament and were worthy winners. Dominant Punjab United Derby won the Under 13s final against Slough and thus winning all four tournaments this year.
